Glenn Beck Electable

Glenn has his show Glenn Beck Unelectable. This is Glenn Beck Electable. That's right Glenn Beck For President

Our nation has gone from a Republic to Empire building. From a country that built a mighty industrial base with ingenuity and hard work, to a country that imports her basic necessities. From having entangling alliances with no nation, to lording over the world. From democracy and capitalism to socialism.

Elect Glenn Beck for President of the United States? Glenn Beck the rodeo clown? Glenn Beck the former alcoholic drug addict? Elect a man like Glenn Beck, a talk show host? Am I crazy for nominating for President a man that clings to his guns and his religion?

No I'm not smoking crack. After a lot of consideration I believe Glenn Beck is the best choice for President. Many Americans have been wanting a President that is a true Washington outsider. Glenn Beck can be that man. Kind of a Mr. Smith goes to Washington, only Glenn Becks' background is not quite so squeaky clean. Glenn Beck is a man that resembles middle America. Beck is a former alcoholic drug addict, divorced, had problems with jobs and money. Beck has wallowed in the darkest pits of despair and emerged a family man, a bread winner, one of the top men in his chosen career and last but certainly not least an honest intelligent man.

I'll have to admit, Glenn Beck drives me crazy sometimes. On his radio show he can come up with some really weird things to talk about. But when he talks politics and history, Glenn Beck knows his stuff. I am usually skeptical of anyone that calls themselves a conservative, but not a Republican. Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh try that line occasionally, but with Glenn Beck it really is believable. Beck is a cross between a conservative and a libertarian.

Elect Glenn Beck not John McCain

In order to really understand why we need Glenn Beck for President we have to take a look at the other candidates running for President. John McCain has the Republican nomination locked up at this point and will be their candidate for President. McCain's strong point is, he is a true patriot. Other than that he is weak on economics, promotes open borders, supports socialist agendas and supports empire building. John McCain is a liberal on a Republican ticket.

John McCain is a New World Order politician. Much to the chagrin of Glenn Beck and like thinking people, the senator from Arizona has been a major supporter of NAFTA and open borders. The American people are fed up with jobs leaving the country and minimum wage workers sneaking across the border to work here. Mexico is a sovereign country with her own borders. We do not have a right to violate those borders any more than they have a right to violate ours.

Elect Glenn Beck not Barack Obama

Compared to Glenn Beck, Barack Obama is a socialist. Barack Obama says he does not believe in drilling for oil in United States territory. According to Obama and his followers drilling for oil is bad for the environment. If it is bad for our environment why do we accept oil from Canada, Mexico, Venezuela and the Middle East? Is it not bad for their environment also? Now Barack Obama says that the 8% profit the oil companies made in the last year is to much. He has a plan to rob the oil companies of enough money to give every family in the United States $1,000. That, supposedly will take care of our high gasoline prices for the next 5-10 years, while scientist who have been working on alternative energy for decades, miraculously solve all our energy problems on a ramped up schedule. Glenn Beck, for the love of Pete, shut this man down!

We are a Democratic Capitalist country, not a socialist dictatorship! If 8% profit is to high, practically every company in the United States will have to start handing over profits to Big Government. This will lead to a mass exodus of corporations leaving the United States for tax friendly countries. We have already lost millions of manufacturing jobs, now the corporate headquarters of companies will be moving to places like Dubai and the United Arab Emirates. Halliburton has already made the move, who will be next? Google has a 24% profit margin, think they could not operate from anywhere in the world? A corporation that moves off shore could easily show a low profit margin on their American operations, while at the same time still making the kind of profit that they want. How many jobs do you think will be lost in the United States if corporations start moving out? Our economy will be in shambles with lost wages, and lost federal, state and local income taxes. Think it will not happen? Who would have thought as the Berlin Wall fell and the Soviet Union collapsed that socialist in America would gain such a foothold in our politics? With Glenn Beck, Democracy will continue and the free enterprise system will thrive. With Barack Obama socialism will prevail.

A Glenn Beck Platform

First and foremost Glenn Beck should be President because he believes in the Constitution of the United States. Glenn Beck understands what the oath of office for the President and all national government employees actually means. “To uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States.” That oath is taken by every national politician and member of the United States Military. No where in the Constitution does it say “this is just a fluid document and its contents should be periodically changed to suit the whims of power hungry politicians.” Gee whiz, I guess socialism is out and democracy is in.

The second item in a Glenn Beck platform for the Presidency would be a serious constitutional issue. PROTECT the borders! The Presidents job is to “protect our country from all enemies, both foreign and domestic.”

Crossing the border of one country into another without permission from that country is illegal. Most countries would consider millions crossing their border without permission an invasion, with the penalty being at least jail and expulsion. The United Nations and the World Court do not have any jurisdiction within the United States and unlike John McCain and Barack Obama, Glenn Beck will make sure they understand that.

A third item in a Glenn Beck platform for the Presidency would be drill here, drill now, drill everywhere, and pursue alternative energies with a vengeance. The United States is not the economic powerhouse we used to be. We are sending 700 billion dollars to other countries every year for oil. It used to be that we were a major exporter of goods and services, now we are a major importer. It is believed that two things caused the demise of the British Empire, constant wars and an erosion of their manufacturing base. It does not take a lot of sense to realize that when you start buying more than you are selling, a collapse in the economy is inevitable.

A fourth item in a Glenn Beck platform for the Presidency would be a reduction in the size of government. Our federal government is now the size of about 1/6 of our economy and growing. If John McCain or Barack Obama get into office and pass legislation for universal health care, the federal government will become even larger. Glenn Beck has studied the Constitution and literature about the founding fathers. Beck understands that our federal government was never intended to be the megalithic behemoth that it is today. The Goldwater and Reagan Republicans used to believe in a small government, but the Rockefeller arm of the Republican Party has taken over and power is the name of the game.

A fifth item in the Glenn Beck platform for President would be the ceasing of entangling alliances that we do not even have the means to support. “For over a century and a half, America held to Washington's dictum of no “permanent alliances. “ Now we have treaty guarantees out to fifty nations on five continents and troops in a hundred countries. Some 150,000 U.S. Soldiers are tied down in seemingly endless wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Should the United States confront another crisis anywhere on earth, the bankruptcy of our foreign policy would be transparent to the world.” (Pat Buchanan, Where The Right Went Wrong, St Martin's Press, 2004.) I believe that Glenn Beck is the type of guy that would defend our country and way of life, yet not feel the need to push our ideals on the rest of the world.

The Plan To Make Glenn Beck The President of the United States

So the real question is. How do we get a man like Glenn Beck to become the President when he seemingly has no inclination to become the most powerful man in the free world? We get him elected whether he wants the job or not. We campaign for him. Whether Barack Obama or John McCain wins the Presidency this year I believe our country is screwed. With either we will edge closer to socialism and the demise of democracy.

That gives us four years to get a serious grass roots campaign set up promoting Glenn Beck and Democracy. We do not want Beck beholden to any party or special interest group. W get him on the ballot in every state for 2012, then we elect him President. If he does not want to campaign himself, that's OK. When we get him elected we can carry him kicking and screaming up to the White House. Glenn's good at swearing, so we can have a swearing ceremony and put him to work. As a side note, Glenn, I am a handyman, so all I ask for getting you elected as president is to be your official handyman. I can just wonder the halls of the White House, Congress and the different federal buildings with a wrench and a hammer and “fix” whatever you want. We could even get Joe the Plumber to give us a hand.

Glenn Beck is a down to earth, funny and an enlightening man. Glenn Beck would be a breath of fresh air is a field of power hungry, say anything and do anything to get more power, politicians. Elect Glenn Beck 2012!

I originally wrote this article on Glenn and published it on another site. The article was written before the financial and mortgage crisis. A crisis that Glenn Beck was predicting for the last couple years. Many thought he was crazy, but time has proven he is not.

In Defense Of Capitalism

From Ayn Rand: "No man has the right to seek values from others by means of physical force--i.e., no man or group has the right to initiate the use of physical force against others. Men have the right to use force only in self-defense and only against those who initiate its use. Men must deal with one another as traders, giving value for value, by free, mutual consent to mutual benefit. The only social system that bars physical force from human relationships is laissez-faire capitalism.

Capitalism is a system based on the recognition of individual rights, including property right, in which the only function of the government is to protect individual rights, i.e., to protect men from those who initiate the use of physical force. I reject any form of fascism or socialism. I also reject any form of a mixed economy that regulates and redistributes wealth."

I do not imagine that every person who joins or reads The Political Coffeehouse would agree with my exact philosophy. But I do believe that we should join together to in order to further goals that we can agree on. The implementation of Marxist policies in the United States must be stopped. J. Michael Warner
