Huffington Post Bailout vs Rush Limbaugh's Pay

In an article that tries to make Arianna Huffington look like a successful entrepreneur Times Online announce that Arianna Huffington of the Huffington Post has raised $15 million in a fund raising drive from investors. The money is to be used to expand the Huffington Post.

Arianna Huffington has indeed built up a huge following on the Internet. I basically challenge the successful entrepreneur part, mainly because there is no mention of Arianna Huffington ever turning a profit. Huffington has been compared to Rush Limbaugh in her championing of liberal causes. The difference between the two is that Rush Limbaugh is actually successful in the earnings department.

Rush Limbaugh is living proof that he capitalist system works. If the market likes your product, money will be made. In Arianna's case, donors that want certain liberal causes promoted have invested money to insure the Huffington Post's success. The website has grown and Huffingtons influence has spread.

So what really is the difference? Rush Limbaugh recently signed a contract that pays him $400 million dollars for an eight year period. Why would anyone pay Rush Limbaugh that much money? Simple, he is making money for everyone that he has business dealing with. In comparison Arianna Huffington has a huge following, just not a following that is profitable. Amazing that liberal ideas are so great for fundraising, but not at turning a profit. Conservative ideas on the other hand can be quite profitable.

The Nine Principles

1. America is good.

2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life.

3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.

4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government.

5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.

6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results.

7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.

8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.

9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.
