Two people were injured as a result of an accident that happened around 1:19 PM last Saturday.
The California Highway Patrol has revealed that the accident occurred when a Honda vehicle collided against a white sedan on Sierra Highway. Both drivers were taken to the hospital immediately after the head-on collision that took place in the 36200 block of the road. No other vehicles were involved.
Details stating whether there were passengers in both vehicles or not were not disclosed.

Suntech America Inc., recently announced the recall of about 300 installations of its SolarBlend Roof Tiles due to a fire hazard posed by the recalled product. The recall announcement was made in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) after the company received one report of a fire taking place due to the connectors between the solar roof tiles loosening. There have been no reported injuries to date. The recalled solar roof tiles have a retail price ranging between $15,000 to $100,000 and include those with model numbers STP050D-5/ZCB (brown), STP050D-5/ZCF (terra cotta), and STP050D-5/ZCG (gray). Consumers who have yet to be contacted by the company should turn off their installations immediately. The company will schedule a free inspection and repair of the recalled solar roof tiles. In a news release, Glenmark Generics, in cooperation with and in accordance with the standards and guidelines of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), announced the recall of seven lots of their generic oral contraceptive pills Norgestimate and Ethinyl Estradiol because some packages have the pills in the reverse order.
According to the company’s press statement, the recall was initiated when Glenmark discovered that, in several blister packages, the tablet order is reversed 180 degrees inside the punch card. This also means that the lot numbers and expiration dates specific to this recall can only be viewed on the outer pouch. Any package where the lot number and expiration date is not visible is subject to this recall. The birth control pills were available across the country between September 21 and December 30 of last year. The company has, thus far, received one complaint of the pills being in reverse order.
Women that have been affected by this recall are being urged to begin a non-hormonal form of contraception.

According to the California Highway Patrol and the local news, two people were killed after an accident on Highway 101 last Wednesday evening.
The accident occurred north of King City and it involved eight vehicles. The official reports from the authorities did not mention the causes behind this accident but it’s known that 15 individuals were injured and two were killed. According to the California Highway Patrol, eight people refused to be taken to the hospital.
The California Highway Patrol is now investigating this crash.

In a news release, Kelty, a division of American Recreation Products, in conjunction with the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), announced the voluntary recall of their Kelty Speedster Swivel Deluxe and Kelty Swivel Deuce jogging strollers due to a wheel defect that could present fall and injury hazards to consumers and their children.
This recall was initiated after the company discovered that the front wheels of the jogging strollers could possibly become loose and result in tip-overs, potentially injuring adults and children. The company and the CPSC are aware of three incidents where these strollers tipped over. Adults pushing the strollers suffered cuts and broken bones while the children riding in the strollers suffered minor cuts and scrapes. The strollers consist of an aluminum frame and a cloth seat and canopy. The words “Kelty Kids” are embroidered on the front of the stroller near the child’s leg area. The strollers were available at children’s product stores, sporting goods stores and online from January 2010 through February 2012.
Consumers are being asked to stop using the defective strollers at once and contact the company to receive an updated assembly and maintenance instructions.

A woman collided with a pickup truck south of Rochester, after she ran a stop sign on Tuesday.
Washington State Patrol Troopers state, that the 18 year old woman ran a stop sign at the intersection of Independence Road Southwest and Marble Street Southwest. The driver of the pickup truck was headed west on Independence Road, when he hit the woman’s car. The impact made it hard for emergency crews to get the woman out of the car.
Once she was freed, she was taken to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia. The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries.
The cause of the crash was failure to follow restrictive signs.
