Drunken Driver Involved In An Accident On Highway 26
February 11th, 2012
A recent report released by the California Highway Patrol revealed that a woman from Lodi was allegedly drunk when she attempted to evade a trooper on Highway 26 last Thursday.
A spokesperson for the California Highway Patrol claimed that the 22-year-old driver was going eastbound on the freeway when she veered off the road after a curve while attempting to drive away from the authorities. The 2008 Jeep Commander fishtailed and veered north, flipping over a few times before it stopped on the eastbound lane.
The motorist was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash. The police took the woman into custody for driving under the influence.
No more details were disclosed by the CHP.
