Fatal Car Accident Possibly Caused By Drunken Driver

February 14th, 2012

An accident caused by an alleged drunken driver had fatal consequences, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The 21-year-old motorist was driving at a high speed on the northbound lanes of Highway 163 when she attempted to get on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 8 after 3 a.m. but unfortunately lost grip of the wheel. The car overturned, which led to two of the passengers being ejected. One of the passengers unfortunately died at the scene.

Two victims were transported to the hospital reportedly sustaining moderate to serious injuries.

As an Injury Lawyer Los Angeles, I’m very saddened to learn about this accident and its tragic consequences. I urge motorists to never engage in a behavior that could cost other people’s lives. Drinking and driving is illegal and risky: stay safe and keep others safe by never getting behind the wheel after you had a few drinks.
