Motorcyclist Injured When Hit By a Car

February 10th, 2012

A man from Mason City was injured when he was hit by a car while riding his motorcycle, on Monday, at the intersection of West State Street and Washington Avenue.  The 26 year old man was transported by Mason City Fire Medics to Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa, Mason City.

He was treated for minor injuries and released from the hospital.  The motorcyclist had been traveling westbound on West State Street, when the driver of the car who was headed southbound on Washington Avenue, ran through a red light and hit they motorcyclist.  The driver of the vehicle was charged with failure to obey a traffic control device.

As a motorcycle accident attorney Tacoma, I advice all drivers to adhere to traffic regulations in order to prevent an accident from taking place.
