Three Pedestrians Injured In Hit & Run Accident
February 9th, 2012
Two girls who were hit in a hit and run accident in Silver Strand on Saturday, have been released from the hospital. The most severely injured child has been transferred to another hospital on Monday.
The three girls were walking in the northbound bicycle lane of Victoria Avenue near Santa Monica Drive on Saturday, when they were hit by a car traveling northbound when it veered into the lane.
The victims were sisters ages 6 and 8, and their friend who was 10. The car missed the sisters’ mother, as they were walking the friend home. The vehicle left the scene of the accident and the driver has not yet been found.
The 6 year old child has been transferred to a hospital in Northridge. The names of the children have not been released.
CHP officers are asking the assistance of the public in finding the hit and run driver.
As a Woodland Hills car accident attorney, I advise all drivers to never flee the scene of an accident. The punishment can be very severe!
